1."Good afternoon! Do you like cars?" Do a small guessing game out of your driving action.  The students will say "jido-sha" or "kuruma" in Japanese.   Both words mean "Cars".

2."What color do you like?"  Put a black & white picture of a car on the board.  Then paint it red just a little.  It is enough for the students to understand the color.

3."Do you like a red car?  We can paint it another color."  Put a new picture on the board.  Paint it blue or green.

4."Do you want to paint it?  Take your color pencils or crayons."   All the students have their own pencils and crayons in their desks.

5."Who likes sports cars?  Who likes mini-vans?"  Show the students a sports car and a mini-van.  Make the students stand in a line.  Pass them a sheet of paper like doing at the shopping play.

6."What color is it?"  Move to the students. Ask them about the color they paint.

7."Have you finished?"  You will find some students finishing painting.  Pick up their  pictures and put them on the board.

8."Finish, please."   As some students will want to paint more, tell them it's time to finish. You may use the word "Stop" instead of "Finish" if they won't finish. 

9."Put your pencils and crayons into your desk."   Review the words of colors.  The students will be happy if you point to their pictures to learn colors.

10. "That's all for today.  See you next week."
